Café Integral is an NYC transplant specializing in exclusively Nicaraguan coffee. A concept that might seem limiting at first, but for the coffee-obsessed it's brilliantly specific. The different coffee regions of Nicaragua offer distinct subtleties in taste.
Café Integral source their beans from four distinctive coffee regions in Nicaragua: San Fernando, Matagalpa, Jinotega, and Segovia. Depending on the region the flavor profile might feature hints of vanilla, chocolate, pear, floral notes, or bright citrus.
Unlike the full-bodied, rich chocolatey beans native to Central America, Nicaragua's Arabica beans are shade-grown at higher altitudes which requires longer to mature, and therefore develops a more flavorful and complex bean. Nicaraguan coffee tends to be fragrant, bright, and citrusy. Regardless of your palate Café Integral offers a fine cuppa coffee.
