COFFEE: Stumptown Cold Brew

Stumptown Coffee is a small-batch roaster that hails from Portland, Oregon, where coffee is practically revered as a deity. You know this is going to be good, or at least potent as cold brew crack because the Pacific Northwest is about as serious about coffee as it can get. Considering 300 rainy-days a year make caffeine a necessity for remaining upright. Stumptown was a very early pioneer in the cold brew game, making them the OG.

Stumptown cold brews their crack...uh coffee by steeping grinds in cold water for approx 12 hours. It's then double filtered for smoothness. It gives Casanova a run for his money when it comes to smoothness. A very potent black cold brew with a flavor profile that is lightly sweet yet tart and acidic with subtle hints of chocolate, floral, and citrus. It's smooth enough to drink black, but excellent with a bit of milk. I like to add a bit of honey or simple syrup for the sweet-tooth. Overall with Stumptown we have a worthy cold brew contender.
