My friend Caroline once said that explaining God to humans is like trying to explain our jobs to dogs. It's beyond our spectrum to understand. That's what faith is though, believing in something you can't see with your own eyes or touch with your own hands. Faith is made from something intangible. C.S. Lewis said, “I believe in Christianity as I believe that the sun has risen: not only because I see it, but because by it I see everything else.”
Faith is not just blindly believing in God's existence in the way one believes that an apple exists. Faith comes with deeper trust and knowledge. Knowing that God loves you, and that He will always ensure the joys in life will outweigh the hardships. "Never be afraid to trust an unknown future to a known God," wrote Dutch writer Corrie Ten Boom. It's keeping the conviction that He is always with you, even in the darkest moments, or in time's when you feel most alone. Faith is knowing beyond a doubt, no matter how dark the night, the sun will always rise.
“Without faith it is impossible to please God, because anyone who comes to him must believe that he exists and that he rewards those who earnestly seek him.” -Hebrew 11:6
